Bonar Hutchison: Level 3 Iyengar Yoga Teacher

Bonar first began to practice and study yoga over thirty years ago. Drawn to the physical and psychological benefits of yoga, his commitment to daily practice and exploration into yogic philosophy inspired him to become a yoga teacher.

After qualifying as an Iyengar Yoga teacher in 2002, Bonar spent time in Pune, India, studying at the Ramamani Iyengar Yoga Institute with the Iyengar family.

In August 2006, Bonar opened Yogasarvasya Studio in the West End of Glasgow and continued teaching there regularly for fifteen years. Yogasarvasya Studio offered classes taught by qualified Iyengar Yoga teachers for students with all levels of experience. Yoga workshops and other events were also available at the studio, often taught by respected and esteemed international senior Iyengar Yoga teachers.

More recently Bonar has been teaching regular classes in person in the Westend of Glasgow and the Southside of the city. He also continues to teach online classes, workshops and ‘One 2 One’ personal tuition classes. Bonar is also qualified to mentor students with an interest in becoming an Iyengar Yoga teacher.

Over the years Bonar has also taught yoga weekend workshops in Scotland and Ireland and has also organised yoga holidays in the South of Spain.

Bonar has been very fortunate to be taught by many experienced and inspiring teachers, past and present, from the UK, France, Italy, America and India, and has always been grateful for the light that they have shone into his daily yoga practice.
